Wild Nova Scotia is a 13 part documentary series that sweeps the viewer deep into the rich natural world of Nova Scotia.

 

We explore the secrets of each unique ecosystem thriving in our last great forests, stunning coastal treasures, and rare habitats.

 

 This show fosters a love for wild places as it celebrates land conservation and educates the audience about our natural riches and why they have been protected. 

​​​With a focus on protected places, the program provides slow montages of plants, animals, and landscapes that are mixed with interviews about these places and the threats they face. The greatest challenge our production crew faced on this show was accessibility.

 

It’s not easy trekking deep into the woods with a camera and tripod.  We battled long vegetation, ticks, mosquitoes, black flies and heat. However the results are worth it. It also helped to have a drone or two to access the most remote places. Wild Nova Scotia is our first program to secure international distribution under the name Wild Coastal Canada.​
